The Review:
i think this book is ttly wicked cuz itz got vampires. i believe in reincarnation so i believe im the retired soul of a great (woman) vampire! but even tho i believe in reincarnation, i still have yet 2 figure out the charm, the mystery, and the sweet yet dangerous aura of the vampires.
Favorite Part: my favorite part was the very end (uh uh uh, im not gonna tell u what it is and give away a great story)
Least Favorite Part: none

Genre: Fantasy
Brief Plot Summary: Kestral Hath has never felt right in her strict, stifling litle town of Aramanth. But one thing always reasurred her, the Wind Singer, a mysterious statue at the center of the town's stadium. When Kestral gets caught up in a strange series of events resulting of an outburst in school, she embarks on a dangerous quest (acompanied by her twin brother and an annoying boy from school) to find the key to the Wind Singer.
The Review:
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I can't think of a reason why people wouldn't at least enjoy it. William Nicholson's rich vocabulary is just one of the amazing talents he shows in this fasinating fantasy. Although subtle, The Wind Singer really makes you think. I stayed up all night reading it because I couldn't put it down. The challenges Kestral has to overcomeare both inventive and realistic. Her struggle in a strange world is also thought provoking. READ THIS BOOK!!!
Favorite Part: I loved the part when Kestral and Bowman (her brother) had to escape thier town and get caught up in the Salt Caves. I enjoyed it because for the first time, they experience true freedom and it was scary and odd to them. I thought that was so honest.
Least Favorite Part: I didn't really like the part where they have to build a bridge across the Crack-in-the-Land, so they can get away from the old children because it got sort of boring and hard to follow. Still, it was an important part in the plot.
