"A moment of pain"
By: Kaycee
Spotsylvania,VA
4/10/2008
You ever feel like one of your parents prefers one of your siblings to you? That no matter how that sibling treats you, no matter what they say to you, even if they make you cry from right in front of that parent, that that sibling will never get even a sideways glance of reprimand?

I believe in believing. Life is hard, filled with injustice, anger and insecurity. Middle school is were these feelings live, breath and multiply. But one thing I've found in my short thirteen years is that everyone needs something to believe in.

Henry James once wrote “Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact”
There comes a time when every life goes off course. In that deciding moment you must choose your direction. Will you fight to stay on path? Will you let others tell you who you are?

"300"
By: Nicholas
Age 15

300
The mighty 300 runs
Not afraid
No guns
Spartan against Greek
300 against 30,000
The master said, “We will make them leak”
Charging
Charging
Armies crash to each other
Swords and shield up
One of the Greeks head gets smothered
300 fighting with all their might
We will not die
Until we may see the light
The Greeks dropped down to 10’000
While the Spartan stay at 300
We didn’t loose any men
But a cut on my right hand
We finished this war with any of a army dead
But cuts
In our flesh
But the will day come
We will loose
We Die on the battle field
With our shield on our side
WE ARE THE MIGHTY 300
